How To Become A True Believer

You are not here on this earth by accident. Understand this – God loves you and He has a purpose for your life (Philippians 1:6). His desire is to have a personal relationship with you through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is, however, one thing that prevents this from happening – our SIN Nature. Sin is what separates us from that relationship with Him that He so desires.

The great news … God has provided a way to restore that relationship with Him. How? As a pastor friend of mine used to say – it’s as simple as ABC:

• A – Admit the truth about yourself that you are indeed a sinner (we all are). Romans 3:23 says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Admit that there is nothing you can do on your own to inherit this salvation.
• B – Believe in the fact that God loves you and that He sent His only Son to die on the cross in your place. Believe that He rose again on the third day. Believe that He is alive today to work on your behalf. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son; that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.”
• C – Commit your heart and life to Him as Savior and Lord. Romans 10:9 says, “If you’ll confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord; and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (thus, establishing a relationship with God)
• D – Do it now!! II Corinthians 6:2 says, “…the right time is now. Today is the day of salvation.”
